The intercooler is the air cooler that is to go from the compressor to the cylinder. Its purpose is to increase the efficiency of the engine. The role is to cool the air that leaves the compressor before it enters the cylinders. This is done in the same way as in the case of the coolant. A thick pipe is installed at the outlet of the compressor through which air goes to the radiator. This, in turn, is cooled by the air from the atmosphere, which is why it is always mounted in the front bumper. It is worth noting that intercoolers, unlike liquid coolers, are not equipped with fans, therefore they are more “exposed” in supercharged cars. When the air from the compressor passes through the intercooler, it goes through the pipes to the cylinders.
